Transformers Leader Optimus Prime
make a birthday boy very happy, June 1, 2008
I bought this as a gift for a dear friend in Hungary. He LOVES it, partly because it's American
and partly because he's the envy of his friends and partly because he loves transforming it.
Great toy from Hasbro, April 22, 2008
I got this product for my son for his 5th B'day and he loved it. The tough part came when I
started transforming it to a Prime mover. Man, that took us about 3 hours, even with the
instructions. But once you've done it once its quite easy the next time.
Me and my wife did
the transformation for our son.
But I must insist, its a clever design and I and my son love it. Some people who saw it, loved it.
It does balance well when standing. Its looks great in the truck mode.
It is a very hardy toy and does not break easily.
All in all I think its one of the best toys but more as a collectable. Kids will love it if they
love Transformers.
Thanks to Hasbros for the creativity again.
Transformers Leader Optimus Prime
Impressive, March 29, 2008
Transformers Movie Leader Optimus Prime was a Christmas gift for my
8-year-old nephew. He enjoyed it right out of the box.
It is a large toy with quite complicated transformations that took me a while to teach
him (after another while learning them myself). He eventually mastered it and had a ton
of fun with it.
The individually moveable fingers and arms were a hit, as were the sound
(sonic) features and the different ways to set up the feet. He also got Bumble Bee, which
he found a way to fit in Optimus Prime's rear wheel rack. This toy proved very good at
challenging his mind with the series of moves required for the transformations. It is
very durable and is still working well after three months of wear and tear.

great robot form- good truck form- lacks silver or chrome paint/parts.
The transformation is complicated- I have to confess that it was the first time i ever had to use
the instruction booklet to transform a transformer- it was the feet- had the same issue with leader
classs megatron toy.
In my defense i could see how it could work but the joints were so tight i wanted to check they
were supposed to turn first.
Transformers Leader Optimus Prime proudly stands shoulder to shoulder
with my Ultra Magnus, Matroplex and Galvatron.
Pretty good version of Optimus Prime, January 20, 2008
This toy version of Optimus Prime is pretty good. The way his legs transformer I would say is the
most similar to the way they are formed in the movie, and the color over-all looks like Movie
Optimus Prime. The removeable gun that rotates onto his hand is a nice touch, even if it doesn't
look like the gun he used in the movie. He even has poseable fingers, which are a nice touch.
A few things that bother me about Transformers Movie Leader Optimus Prime,
is that Primes proportions seem distorted. He seems
short and chunky, which he wasn't in the movie. Especially his legs have a lot of "kipple" on them
which make them fatter and hard to pose. IN fact over-all this toy isn't as poseable as the Voyager
Optimus Prime that came out for the movie. Also the rear wheels of the truck end up in an awkward
position, kind of sticking out behind the legs, when in robot mode.
Another thing that is a little bothersome is the lights and sound gimick they put into this toy.
While it isn't that impressive, it also doesn't detract from the toy at all. I only which they
would have used the "transformation sound" from the movie or cartoons as the sound effect rather
than the "whooshing" sound that they ended up using, which has no reference to the character.
Over-all this toy is well made, and transforms fairly easily compared to the rest of the movie toys.
He looks pretty good and his truck mode is solid. I would recommend this toy to anyone who likes
